The following are frequently asked questions about our service.

 

What is the minimum order?
There is a $10 food/beverage minimum per restaurant

 

What is the delivery fee?
Only $2.99 base delivery fee in Salinas Area, $4.99 base delivery fee in the Santa Cruz Area and $3.99 base delivery fee in Monterey Area. Fees are higher if you order from a restaurant outside of your delivery area.

Can I order from two different restaurants?
Yes, but you must meet the $10 minimum from both restaurants and pay a second delivery fee.

 

Do you take checks or credit cards?
We accept payment by cash or most major credit cards. Sorry, we do not accept checks.

 

Where can I get a menu?
You can call (831)373-3333 or (831)757-7777 and ask that a book be mailed to you.

 

Is everything on the delivery menu the same as in the restaurant?
All of our prices are the same as the menu prices in the restaurants. Some items may not be available for delivery because of their limited availability or because they do not travel well. The prices shown are cash discount prices. There is a 3.5% non cash transaction fee assessed on orders not paid with cash. Prices are subject to change without notice.

 

Which restaurants can I order from?
Restaurants are available according to your delivery zip code. Simply type in your zip code and the web site will list the restaurants available for delivery to you.

 

Can I pay extra for a restaurant that does not normally deliver to my area?
Doorbell Dining offers complete drop off catering. We provide that service throughout most of Monterey, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties. These large orders can often be delivered from restaurants outside the customers delivery area. If you have a special request for a any restaurant outside your delivery parameters please give us a call at (831)373-3333 or (831)757-7777

 

Do I have to tip the driver?
Our drivers receive most of the delivery fee to cover auto expenses. Additional compensation comes from tips. A gratuity comparable to what you would tip inside a restaurant would be appreciated. A 15% gratuity is added to orders over $50.

 

How long does it take for delivery?
We try to deliver within an hour of you placing an order. However, we can make no guarantees.

 

When are you open?
We are open for Lunch Monday-Friday 9 AM to 1:30 PM.  We are open for Dinner, 7 nights a week 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM (‘til 9:30 Friday & Saturday)

 

What about drinks?
Doorbell Dining offers cold 20oz. Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite & Arrowhead water. For advanced orders we also offer juices, lemonade & tea.
